walking through Auckland

I went for a walk today through a residential part of Auckland, and though I am not usually one for spending much time looking at homes, today I was taken by how incredible the homes here are. Each house is unique, and even the ones that aren't in the best of shape look beautiful. Every yard is lush and green, most with either palm trees, huge cactus and bright colored flowers, or some with all mentioned. I took many pictures of homes that I found interesting, though I have yet to even try to figure out how to put picks on here, so that will have to wait for a rainy day!
I walked down the shore edge today as well, and it is amazing, and I am very jealous, that people get to see that every day! the smell is Auckland is clean, which isn't always to be expected in a city, though I couldn't be happier to be breathing clean air!
Well, the clouds are moving and the sun is now shining again, so I am going to get off the computer and head outside- don't worry everyone, I am wearing my sunscreen! UV ratings here are incredibly high, and you can burn in less than a half hour outside- YIKES!
