my new job- though not forever!
Well I started my new job today- I am working in the vineyards in a town called Blenheim. the town is a small sad sort of town, though like all places- people can make all the difference! There are some really nice people at my hostel (all of whom work in the vineyards too- seems that that is the only reason you would come here!) I get picked up every morning at 7am- that's right, 7am and then am driven to where ever there is work to be done. Today I spent 8 hours pruning the grapes- a very simple minded task though in some ways, that is why it rocks! I am the only person who speaks English as a first language, so it makes conversation hard! I look at it like this- this gives me a great chance to learn french on my ipod! List of things that are essential for this job: ipod, lots of water, and a large container or 30+ sunscreen- I applied it three times today! Well, I should get back to the hostel- it's only 7pm here, and I am beat!

Hi Samm glad to hear you are having a good time. It;s only =35 wind chills here today so guess pruning grapes beats picking snow balls huh? We have been babysitting Penelope while your mom and dad are in Swift Current shopping for yesterday and today and she is such a good girl.
I hope you get to drink some vino from those grapes you are tending to.
Will chat soon.

Hi Samm,
Sue stutters a lot...
Glad to hear you're "experiencing" the country and enjoying yourself.
What an adventure!
It's still winter here - but we have hopes that spring isn't too far off.

Hi Samm,
Glad to hear you're "experiencing" the country. Sounds like a wonderful time. The babies are soooo cute! And is it ever green.
It's still winter here but we have hopes that spring isn't too far off.
TAKE CARE
